Shasta and the Man is the original musical telling of my relationship with Sharna, from the Halloween party where we met into an enduring partnership, family and life built together.

Where our story began

Sharna and I met at a Halloween party in 1997. The attraction was immediate—electric enough that, years later, I would find three different musical ways to tell it. Shasta and the Man is where that story first took shape.

The spark is only the opening scene. The song follows us into partnership, challenges, family, laughter and the life we built together. These are not invented characters or an unnamed couple. It is her and me, with the truth sitting in the lyrics.
