Before MarTinman, there was MartyMar.

Before MarTinman, there was MartyMar. Louis Mosely was the mate who gave me the push to step up when my moment came.

Little man… you’re up… let’s go.

Paint-store hustlers by day, local music by night

Louis knew every owner, manager and door. We got into clubs, slipped DJs a little cash and a cassette, and watched the room come alive when the music hit.

But the story underneath the funk is about the mate who sees something in you before you fully see it yourself. Louis gave me the push to step forward, find my voice and own the moment when it arrived.

Getting into the room was only the beginning. The lesson that stayed with me was to make sure people knew who they came to see.
